UX Director

I have been recently promoted to UX Director. This is a substantial change of responsibility since it will entail a deeper commitment towards my capability. Recently, I helped setting up workflows and tools to empower employees to take ownership of specific initiatives. This will not only result in an increase of value for the team, but also for the individuals.

At Jellyfish, we have a “Business Case” process which you’d need to follow if you want to submit a case for a promotion. I’m hoping that the frameworks and workflows I’ve helped to establish for UX initiatives will help practitioners to make their cases stronger and easier to demonstrate.

Mentoring others

I’m helping other practitioners up skill themselves in specific UX tools, processes and methodologies. I’m helping both people internal to our UX team who need help and can leverage my expertise, as well as people who are no currently part of the team but have raised interest into either joining us or collaborating with us.

In the future, I’d like to explore external mentorship avenues. Training more junior designer and helping them to land their very first UX job outside…
